Connect CLōD to Cursor

Route Cursor inference through CLōD. Same experience, up to 60% lower cost.

Overview

Cursor is an AI-powered code editor built on VS Code. By pointing Cursor to CLōD's OpenAI-compatible endpoint, you get the same Cursor experience with access to 50+ models and up to 60% cheaper inference costs through CLōD's patented energy-aware routing.

Prerequisites

  • • CLōD account — free at app.clod.io
  • • Cursor installed
  • • CLōD API key (Dashboard → API Keys → Generate)

Setup

Step 1: Get your CLōD API key

Sign in at app.clod.io → API Keys → Generate Key. Store it safely.

Step 2: Configure CLōD as your provider in Cursor

Open Cursor Settings (⌘, / Ctrl+,) → select the Models tab → scroll to the OpenAI API Key section.

Enable Override OpenAI Base URL and set it to:
https://api.clod.io/v1

Enter your CLōD API key in the API Key field.

Click Verify to confirm the connection, then Save.

Step 3: Select a model and start building

Browse available models at app.clod.io/auth/models. For agentic tasks, use tool-calling capable models.
