As the demand for compute is growing, access to reliable, clean and cost effective computation becomes of great importance. Our vision is to optimize computing procedures by seamlessly matching workloads to the right servers and energy sources running those servers to make compute not only affordable and efficient but also clean. 

At CLōD, we are driven by the need to bridge the gap between energy and high-performance computing. We believe in creating smarter, more efficient ways for industries like HPC/AI to consume energy while actively supporting grid stability and reliability. Our solutions are designed to improve operational performance, optimize energy use, and contribute to the resilience of the energy grid. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and practical energy strategies, we are committed to shaping a future where computing and energy work hand-in-hand for the benefit of both industry and the planet.

Our journey began in 2021 in Vancouver, BC, with a clear mission: to improve financial and operational efficiency of our clients. Our initial focus was on building an IoT workload orchestrator. However, as we worked closely with our clients, we saw a greater opportunity—optimizing how computing interacts with energy.

Recognizing the critical role energy plays, we expanded our vision beyond IoT to include High-Performance Computing (HPC/AI) industries. In 2024, we launched CLōD, an AI workload management platform that matches AI workloads to the fastest computing resources considering their energy carbon mixture and energy pricing.
